The book Rural Employment has been designed to provide sufficient feedback on rural employment. Employment is a vital problem of Indian economy. Majority of people in India live in about 7000,000 villages. They depend on agro and agro-based activities for their livelihood. India cannot be self-reliant and prosperous until the rural mass engage for their employment. Corporate sectors, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) may play their crucial role in this regard. Panchayati Raj institutions (PRIs) may monitor/supervise in execution of programmes launched by the govt. to a great extent.
