Dictionary of Plant Breeding

Plant breeding has moved from the mainly agronomic focus to a research area embracing several disciplines. Until recently, the progress of the science was hampered by the lack of a comprehensive desk reference listing. The compiling of this dictionary is attempted for the first time to produce a really comprehensive dictionary in the field of plant breeding to allow the non-agronomist and non-horticulturist an accurate interpretation of terms. Dictionary contains clear and useful definitions of the terms associated with plant breeding and related scientific/technological disciplines. This also provides helpful tables, examples, and breeding schemes to make the data easy to access and utilize.
