This publication titled "International Encyclopedia of Dairy Technology and Animal Husbandry" deals primarily with animal husbandry, dairy technology and animal breeding. It also provides an introductory overview of animal husbandry, veterinary science and dairying in India, including an analysis of initiatives taken at center and state levels. Issues and options for India and rest of the world with respect to veterinary science, animal health and livestock improvement are dealt in detail. The plans and projects related to intensive cattle development in India have been reflected briefly, analyzing various schemes and evaluation processes in detail. An introductory overview of global dairy science and technology has been provided for the readers.
