The writer of the book in hand- The world Preceptor: Sri Guru Granth Sahib, has demonstrated the grandeur and loftliness with examples and illustrations. In the first chapter- Sri Guru Granth, a glimpse, the writer has made a hunble attempt to reveal the ancestral treasure with the help of evidences and illustrations. In the chapter – Sri Guru Granth, a manifest body of the writer has proved through examples from history that Gru is visible, veritable and manifest. Similarly in the chapter "Guru an ever-Vigilant spirit", some old letters have been quoted and the writer has told that letters of the Guru were to be followed & carried out in latter and faithfully, steadfastly considering them as utterances of the Guru and it has also been written how the utterances of the manifest spirit and vigilant Guru were considered proclamation by the Sikhs of the old times as a call for the sleepy.
Under the title "Reveerence and Adoration" Dr Major Sing has written that Gurus themselves adored and venerated Hymns and advised the Sikhs to do the same. The writer has urged the Sikhs to venerate the True Guru – Sri Guru Granth by giving examples from the lives oof the Gurus and those saints who got opportunity to live and glance in their proximity. The writer has proved the sovereignty and Supremacy of Guru Granth with the help of several lines from Guru Granth and also by quoting various writers and many prominent personalities who have comprehended the essence of Granth Sahib and he has also made mention of it. The hard labour done by the writer in this chapter to establish supremacy of the Guru on the authority of the hymns is laudable.
In the sixthb and the last chapter the writer has mentioned the benefactaion and blessings of the Guru through service and meditation. He has also demonstrated the effect of feelling the attachment to the Guru through congregation. Modern age is an age of Science and Technology; it is age of logic and argumentation. Till a common man is not satisfies with arguments and by illustration and examples, he is not conviced and his belief and faith is not confirmed. Keeping this aspect in view the writer has many references of appropriate anecdotes.
