The present title “Introduction to Veterinary Genetics” has been designed for undergraduate, postgraduate students of Veterinary sciences having little or no background in Veterinary genetics. It is designed to serve as a general reference and textbook for a broad spectrum of applications. It is written to meet two objectives: (i) to provide those who need it with a sedimentary knowledge of chemistry and (ii) to present this knowledge within a framework of veterinary science, specially the genetics. It is designed to be simple, understandable, and interesting without being overly simplistic or misleading, it seeks to present the principles of genetics in ways so that even a reader with a minimal background in, or no particular aptitude for science and mathematics can master the materials in it and apply it to a trade, profession or course of study.
