The caste system hierarchically divided Hindu society into different castes perpetuates inequality and discrimination. In order to get rid of caste system and caste-based discrimination, the large chunk of dalits converted to other religions such as Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Sikhism. The present volume unfolds the multi-dimentional sufferings of dalits who have converted to Christianity. The effort here is confined to religious proselytization of dalits and their socio-economic status under Christianity. The volume is representing cause of dalit Christians and it affirms that the converted Christians suffer like dalits in general in Indian society and their religious conversion hasn't freed them from rigid caste system in India.
