This book is primarily intended for the U.G. and P.G. students in chemistry and in fields like agriculture, engineering etc., and also for analysts particularly those fresh from colleges, working in chemistry laboratories. The book is divided into three sections: the first section deals with the basic principles involved in quantitative analysis like volumetric analysis, indicators, instruments commonly used in these analysis etc. The second section deals with methods of analysis of water, fertilizers, manures, plant materials and soils. The methods described could be performed in any laboratory with the apparatus and equipments commonly found in any chemistry laboratory. In the last section (the Appendix), methods of preparation of standard solutions, reagents, standard curves, properties of various filter papers etc., are provided.
