The book is a must read for anyone genuinely interested in Uttrakhand and realising its full potential. Of late, a fair amount of written material has appeared on Uttrakhand. Travel guides in particular extolling its natural beauty and other attractions. But this book is different in many ways.
After an impressive academic career, topping in Panjab University in BA (Hons) and a first class first in MA (Pol. Sc.) from Delhi University, the author joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1962.
