The work appears in five volumes. Vol. III contains an elaborate account of the Principal Dualistic and Pluralistic Systems such as the philosophy of the Pancaratra, Bhaskara, Yamuna, Ramanuja, Nimbarka, Vijnanabhiksu and philosophical speculations of some of the selected Puranas.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR S N Dasgupta
Surendranath Dasgupta (1885-1952) occupied a unique position in the constellation of contemporary Indian philosophers. He annexed highest academic honours from the universities of Cambridge, Rome and Calcutta. Dr. Dasgupta was a prolific writer and he wrote a number of books of perennial value. Some of them are: A Study of Patanjali, Yoga Philosophy in Relation of Other Systems of Indian Thoughts, Yoga as Philosophy and Religion, A History of Indian Philosophy, Indian Idealism, Philosophical Essays, A History of Sanskrit Literature and Religion and Rational Outlook.
