The present book entitled Livestock Revolution and Economic Viability of the Farmers focuses on the various aspects of livestock husbandry and its role on the economic viability of the farmers. This book is based on original research work of the author in which he emphasized on the importance of livestock husbandry in the sector of agriculture. A general and good overview of the complex and heterogeneous development is highlighted with an increasing number of small and marginal farmers on one hand and the livestock husbandry on the other hand which favors value added market oriented agriculture instead of traditionally subsistence agriculture. The most important factors like livestock production, dairy centers and dairy production, fodder demands , mixed farming, women participation trade and marketing are exemplified on global level as well as their significance for India have been discussed. An overall perspective of dominant factors which might have an influence on animal husbandry is dealt by giving a concept of regional layers on relevant geofactors and economically relevant regionalized data.
