ABOUT THE AUTHOR R. Khongsdier

R. Khongsdier hold M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Anthropology from North-Eastern Hill University. He is currently a faculty member of the Department of Anthropology at North-Eastern Hill University. Previously, he was working as Physical Anthropologist of the Anthropological Survey of India, Government of India, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Culture. He had also served in different capacities in different Offices under the Government of Meghalaya. He has had to his own credit a number of scholarly papers published in edited volumes and journals national and international repute. He has also edited a volume on Contemporary Research in anthropology. He is an active member as well as life member of various professional and anthropological bodies. His areas of research interest include genetical demography, population genetics, biosocial studies, human growth and nutrition.
