The book is aimed at providing the students a detailed knowledge of programming and interfacing of Intel 8085 and peripherals. It is intended for students of Electrical / Electronics Engineering as well as for working professionals who wish to acquire knowledge in this area. Apart from providing the necessary theoretical details, programming examples are also included for most of the topics. The text also contains details of many microprocessor applications so as to orient the reader to design his own microprocessor based solutions for practical problems. A set of review question are also provided for each chapter.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR R. Theagarajan
M.E., M.Sc. (U.K.) is currently an Assistant Professor at Technical Teachers Training Institute, Tharamani, Madras. From 1975 to 1977 he worked in Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bangalore in the R&D department. From 1977 to 1979 he was teaching at Alagappa College of Engineering, Karaikudi. He was with the Humberside University, England for one and half years. His present assignment keeps him busy in teaching Electronics and Media development in the same area. His primary research interest is in Instrumentation and control.

M.Sc. (Engg.) is currently an Assistant Professor at Technical Teachers Training Institute. Tharamani, Madras. From 1981 to 1985 he was Senior Project Officer at Indian institute of Technology, Madras. Presently he is engaged in teaching Computer languages, Networking and Media development in Electronics. He has research interest in Engineering Education and Optical fibre communication.

M.Sc. (Engg.) is currently an Assistant Professor at Technical Teachers Training Institute. Tharamani. Madras. From 1975 to 1979 he was teaching at Alagappa College of Engineering, Karaikudi. He also worked for a brief period in the industry in the area of electrical maintenance and in the Madras University Instrumentation laboratory in the area of development of Microprocessor based system. In his present assignment, he is involved in teaching and media development in Electronics. His primary research interest is in Electronic Instruments and control.
