The present monograph contains information about taxonomy and biology of all species reported from the Indian waters so far. Details regarding the biological characteristics and distribution will be of immense use for fishery resources assessment and fishery management. Identification of orgainsms to species level is also essential for understanding the biodiversity aspects and implementing conservation measures.
