Physiological or abiotic disorders are disorders in crops that are caused by changing environmental conditions like temperature, moisture, unbalanced soil nutrients owing to excess of certain soil minerals and deficiency of some, poor drainage in the cultivated area, etc. In other words, these are disorders not caused by living organisms. The work focuses on physiological disorders of specifically fruit crops, taking up more than 40 fruit crop for detailed study. It involves a detailed survey of the physiological disorders: nature of the disorders, factors responsible for them at different stages in the plants’ growth—cultivation, harvest and post-harvest stages, and response and reactions of crops to the disorders including the change in their appearance. It also views the various ways to deal with them.
