Women Empowerment

This book provides expression to the common problems that women come across, the recent developments and how the women can be empowered. It examines the change in trends among women in different aspects of education, health and nutrition, spousal violence and marital status.

It addresses various issues like commitment of India to women empowerment and various international conventions, employment trend among women, their participation in politics and implementation of 73rd Constitutional Amendment, their contribution to agriculture, Indian laws governing the women, crime and violence against them, human resource development, gender gap and the role of mass media in women empowerment.
