Indian Drama in English is deeply rooted in the native soil. The twenty one research papers included in State of Indian Drama in English are studies in Indian plays written in English as well as plays translated by the playwrights themselves into English. These dramatists mainly reflect on the issues of social and gender discrimination. They, through their works endeavour to build up an inner strength of our nation. They examine the history of India and realize and reconstruct the true identity of the country.
