Freedom Movement in Koraput is a modest attempt to trace the role of the people of Koraput especially its tribals and their leaders in the freedom struggle of the country. The present work gives a comprehensive picture of the freedom movement in the undivided district of Koraput. An attempt has been made to trace the origin and growth of several rebellions and uprisings undertaken by the tribals of Koraput much before the beginning of the national freedom struggle.
