Human Resource Development in Public Sector Banks

Dr. A. Padmavathi, completed her Post-Graduate Education in Economics, securing First Class at Sri Venkateswara Univeristy, Tirupati in 1978.  She was awarded Doctoral Degree in Economics in 1986 for her specialized study on ‘Bank Finance to Smal-Scale Industry (A Case Study of Chittoor District)’.  She worked as Research Associate from 1986 to 1989.  She served as Lecturer in Economics at S.V.U. P.G. Centre, Kurnool from 1989 to 1993.  Thereafter she joined as a Faculty Member in the Department of Economics at S.V. Univeristy, Tirupati in 1993 and was elevated to the position of Associate Professor in 1997. She participated in National Seminars, Symposiums, Workshops and presented papers in the area of Bank Finance and Rural Development.  The Doctoral Dissertations, submitted under her research supervision, awarded, received good appreciation for the quality of research work both from foreign and Indian adjudicators.  She has been held in honour as an exemplary teacher in the eyes of hundreds of students whom she taught.
