Urban geography is a branch of human geography concerned with various aspects of cities. Urban geography is the study of urban areas. The author also examines recent advances in the geography of inequality and of welfare in cities, and in the widening and extension of the traditional dimensions of social status, ethnicity and life cycles in patterning city space.
