Women, Social Exclusion and Inclusion

Sangeeta Krishna has her MA in History from Patna University.  As Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) of University Grants Commission (UGC), She did her doctoral dissertation on 'Role of Bihar Legislature and other agencies in the Upliftment of Women-Five Decades of Progress' (1921-1967).  She has contributed to numerous projects on Women's Studies as Research Associate and Project officer in the Centre for Women's Studies and Development, Banaras Hindu University.  She is also associated with the BJK Institute of Buddhist and Asian Studies as an Honorary Fellow.  Her current research interest is in Folklore and Oral Tradition.  Presently she is working as Resident Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin College Year in India Program (CYIP), Varanasi.
