The study aims to build strong management of food security at grassroots level trying to bring better governance in the form of accountability, transparency and advocacy at the lowest level which could be applicable to the hill area including north east states of India in general and Sikkim in specific.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Bitu Subba

Bitu Subba has completed M.Phil. and currently undergoing Ph.D. at Sikkim University in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies and Management. An UGC/NET JRF awardee first male from the State of Sikkim from Sikkim University in International and Area Studies. Also working as an Associate Director in the ICSSR funded project on The Role of Public Distribution System in ensuring food security in Sikkim.
