Telugu-English Dictionary

The present Volume comprehending a part of the Work originally proposed for publication, under the title of a Grammar and Vocabulary of the Gentoo Language, is now offered to the Public in a detached and insulated form. It comprises a selection of words, with the English Translation of them, remarkable only for the familiar and approved use of them in the conversation and diction of the people, amongst whom the Gentoo Language of the present day is current. Why a separation and double use has been made of the work, and how it has happened to be so exceedingly tardy in making it’s appearance, a very few words will explain. The other observations which the present occasion calls for, will not take up much of the Reader’s time in perusing, nor will the time so bestowed, it is hoped, appear to have been fruitlessly induced.
