The Asola-Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary is the only manmade sanctuary, which represents northeastern flat-topped hill form of country’s oldest hill ranges—the Aravalli. The sanctuary is quite different from the popular perception of the protected area mainly because of its use and abuse by ever increasing anthropogenic pressures mainly for extraction of quartzite commonly known as Badarpur or Bajri by mining communities; livestock grazing; fuel wood collection; transportation of truck loads of Badarpur sand; fodder collection etc. and for conservation and propagation of exotic and native species of plants and animals. The present document covers inventorying of some selected faunal elements belonging to invertebrates and vertebrate groups covering nearly 310 species, which includes their systematic position, material examined, locality records etc., with distribution within park vis-?-vis in India. Remarks and status in case of mammals and a list of threatened mammals and birds has also been provided. Photographs of some of the faunal components, habitat and satellite imagery of the sanctuary have been provided.
