ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mangalagowri V. Rao
Dr. Mangalagowri V. Rao, born in Honnavar, Karnataka, completed her B.A.M.S. from Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Bangalore in 1998 and post graduation, M.D. (Ayu.) in Svasthavritta in 2002, from Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She started her career as a lecturer at S.S. Rural Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Inchal, Bailahongal and later worked as lecturer in A.L.N. Rao Memorial Ayurvedic Medical College, Koppa. Meanwhile, she got selected in UPSC, joined as medical officer in NCT Delhi in 2005. Presently, she is working as a lecturer in the Department of Svasthavritta and Yoga, Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She has many scientific papers presented at various conferences and several guest lectures delivered at various platforms to her credit.
