ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ajit Singh Sikka
Dr. Ajit Singh Sikka born on 22nd august 1929 in West Panjab (now in Pakistan), did his M.A. in 1966 and Ph.D. in 1970 from the Punjab University, Chandigarh. He has earned both name and fame in the world of literature and is considered as one of the most renowned poets of Punjab. He won Golden Poet Trophy from World of Poetry, California, USA in 1991 and Natraj Award in 1989. Dr. Sikka worked as Lecturer in Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan) during 1972-73 and Sikh National College, Banga from 1973 to 1989. He wrote three books on Sikh Religion and Philosophy in English Prose and other books in English Verse. He stayed in USA from 1989 to 1993 and had written about the themes of Love, Life, Sikh History and Religion using poetical types – Lyric, Ode, Sonnet, Ballad, Epic, Long and short Poem and Song.
