ABOUT THE AUTHOR Alka Kushwaha
Dr. (Ms) Alka Kushwaha, B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. (P.P.N. College, Kanpur) from C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur (U.P.). She worked as Assistant Professor in D.G. College, Kanpur during 2005-2009 and then joined D.A.V. College, Kanpur on regular basis, teaching Botany subject at Graduate level. Published 15 research papers, 25 abstracts in various National and International Symposia and 2 chapters in edited books. Also co-organised two National Conferences in D.G. College, Kanpur. She was awarded Fellow of the Society of Plant Protection Sciences, New Delhi.

Dr. Indra Kumar Kushwaha working as Associate Director, Plant Protection in KVK, Saharanpur - 247001 (S.V.P. University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut (U.P.). He is also presently engaged in mass production of bio-control agents for distribution among the farmers to encourage the organic farming system in Saharanpur and adjoining areas. He is overall looking for farmers difficulties in their field crops and guide them suitable management options against insects pests, diseases, nematodes and weeds, also promote the seed production. The University and District authorities appreciated him for the help to the farmers. In addition , he is also devoting time in mushroom cultivation. He is providing all technical knowledge to the farmers and selling the mushroom seed (spawn) to the farmers. The extension activities is very well taken by the farmers . Dr. Kushwaha has written two books, five chapters , 25 abstracts and number of research papers / articles in National / International journals. He awarded by different societies in the field of best Mushroom production and insect pests and diseases management in District; Scientist of the year award and major R.S. Yadav SRDA award.
