Ripples is the herald of a new genre of novel. It is written in lyrical prose and a very pithy style. It is completely free of the conventional shackles of embellishment, quotes and identification of the characters. In fact, it can be called a nuclear novel. If a whole episode can be described in one word the author has just done that. The novel is about two love stories, totally unrelated in the space-time dimension. There is no chronological order in the two stories. And yet the reader never loses the thread of either. While the two main characters are not unburdening themselves on each other yet it is both catharsis and absolution for their unrequited love. It is a novel of mood and meditation, repentence and remonstration, exorcism and damnation and reminiscences and resurrection. It is a story of the love of two persons who are far apart in space time relation, but find themselves on the same wavelength as they pass a night under a full moon, on the bank of a forlorn pond, reliving the agony and bliss of their love. Their nightlong company away from the lights and noises of the city and reminiscing their past is their salvation from the memory haunts. It may prove to be yours too.
