Road to Paradise is the story of a young dalit orphan who overcomes the diverse ethnic and cultural shocks in his quest for an identity. Starting from an obscure village in eastern India, he reaches the Bombay in his daring journey. The fifteen year old orphan dalit boy struggles to make a life for himself in the wide world all alone. But he grows up fast. Fate takes him to the middle-east and there he reconstructs his life assuming a different faith and culture. His aim for finding an identity is fulfilled and he has a family. But then cruel fate strikes again and his life and love is killed in a devastating incident leaving him to take care of his young son. Then begins the search for his roots as he struggles once again to give a meaning childhood for his son that he never had. He keeps alive the dream that he has by opting to care for underprivileged children back in his home state. It is possible to find paradise on earth if one has the courage to seek it.
