Trajectories and Sectoral Growth of Asian Economies with Special Reference to India

Dr. L.C. Mallaiah (known as LAKKINENI) was born in a nondescript village of Itugullapadu near Porumamilla,Kadappa District of A.P. state (India). Son of an illiterate Dalit agricultural labourers, he was educated staying in social welfare hostels. He obtained his M.A. degree in Economics from Sri Krishna Deveraya University. As an UGC-JRF qualified scholar in the University of Hyderabad, he got M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Economics. He also completed his MBA (Finance). At present he is a faculty member of Department of Economcis in Babasaheb Bhimrao ambedkar Central Universtiy, Lucknow. He has attended several national and international workshops, seminars, conferences and training programmes. He has worked for the cause of Dalits rights. He has completed a project sponsored by World Bank on Dalit livelihoods. He is associated with a number of academic organizations and NGOs working for Dalits' empowerment and social justice. He has been engaged in working on Ambedkar thought of knowledge Economy. His life mission is to work for econ omic empowerment of his people with admirable felicity of understanding and expression. his major area of interest is Economics of Dalit Livelihood.
