Modern Methods of Teaching Computer Science

Recent developments in the field of educational technology have overtaken the teachers, planners and administrators alike every where in the world and India is no exception to this fact. The use of computers in teaching has revolutionised the entire educational process and has made demands on teachers and students alike. No field can remain isolated, not the least the educational process from the use of computers. It is therefore, has become imperative for teachers to equip themselves with the skills of use of computers in the day to day activities of education. Computers are the key to information technology and the knowledge industry. The assistance has been taken from the American Information Centre, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi and the British Council Library, New Delhi in preparing this book. Unfortunately due to paucity of finance sufficient amount of funds have not been put in for research and development in computer science and as such the dependency theory is operating in this area.
