In this book the thrust is basic Human Rights Issues of Migrant Labour in India and its violations at the grass roots level. The empirical studies have gone into the issues of major human rights violations at the origin in Bihar and at destination in the various industries of Punjab and Haryana. The Studies have highlighted that one of the worst form of Human rights violation both at source and destination is their exploitation at bonded labour, discrimination against Women Migrant Labour and Child Migrant Labour which are deeply entrenched in the social structure. The studies also point out that most of the labour legislations for their welfare are not implemented. The studies have also analysed the plight of intrastate labour in Andhra Pradesh and their basic human rights violations.
