Dr. Padmini Prasad, M.B.B.S., M.D.(OBG), F-CSEPI, D-ABS(USA), is a senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and the first and only qualified woman sexologist from Karnataka. She is Fellow of the 'Council so Sex Education and Parenthood--International' and a Diplomate from the 'American Board of Sexology' She is the Director of 'Institute of Sexual Medicine' and Ramamani Nursing and Maternity Home', Rajajinagar, Bangalore. She is a Gold Medalist in M. D. Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has received many appreciation awards including the prestigious 'Kempegowda Award' conferred by the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike for the year 2003. She takes part in adolescent health and sexuality education programmes in schools and college, conducts adolescent counselling, premarital counselling, newly wed couple counselling and treats various sexual dysfunctions of men and women. she has 'Telephone Helpline' for sexual problems--080-3354293. She presents popular awareness programmes on sexual and reproductive health on various T. V. Channels and All India Radio She has also delivered many awareness lectures for the public. Dr. Vithal Prabhu, M.B.B.S., F.C.G.P, F.I.C. (USA) is a well known senior sexologist of the country, residing in Mumbai. He is the Vice-chairperson of the Council of Sex Education and Parenthood-International (CSEPI), Consultant to SECRT (Sex Education Counselling, Research Therapy), Centre for Family Planning Association of India. He is the Associate Editor of the Sexology Journal, 'News & Views' Dr. Prabhu is the recipient of many accolades and awards which include the award at the 7th World Congress of Sexology (1985) , three times the 'Best Literature Award of Maharashtra, Community Service Award of the Indian Medical Association (1982-83) , Shatayushi Medical Journalism Award, Pune (1998), Scientific Temper Promotion Award (200) and the 'Golden Lamp Award'-------the highest honour of CSEPI (2002). Dr. Prabhu has written 8 books on Human Sexuality. He has presented over 50 scientific papers at National and International Conferences and contributed over 600 articles to Newspapers and Periodicals on Sexuality.
