This book seeks to provide, with the support of documentary survey and empirical data, an insight into the problem of marked delay in the onset and acquisition of language. The focus is on the expressive language disorders of the children who are developmentally delayed in language. It examines the probable causes of delayed language development, various types of expressive language disorders, i.e. disorders of speech and writing respectively. The book also suggests the norms and procedures for the development of an "Individualised Language Programme" and explains how this accelerate the language development processes and reduce expressive language disorders.
