ABOUT THE AUTHOR R.K. Ohri
The author, Mr. R.K. Ohri, is retired officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) with a flair for analytical research. During his distinguished career, he taught for three years in the Internal Security Academy of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) where he wrote a number of research papers and case studies on matters concerning terrorism, internal security and law and order. Though essentially an executive officer of a uniformed service, Mr. Ohri was also associated with a number of projects during his three years stint in the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D). Endowed with a perceptive mind, the author has contributed a number of articles on professional problems facing the security forces. Presently he happens to be the Secretary of the Association of Retired Senior IPS Officer – an interactive forum of retired professional experts on law enforcement and security. He has deep understanding of the ongoing threat of Islamic terror, as a evident from the facility with which he has ventured to identify the likely regions of the world where religion-based faultline conflicts might gather momentum during the next few decades.
