The study of various institutions of a government, fascinating in itself, enlightens also the object underlying them and reveals their effects on society and economy of the country. The religious institutions of the Mughal Rulers-who have left an indelible mark on all aspects of Indian administrative Organisations, life and culture have their own story to tell in the governmental machinery of the day.
