Illustrated Dictionary of Botany

Botany is the branch of biology that is concerned with studying the plants, their life, structure, growth, classification, etc. The study involves all aspects of plants, from the smallest and simplest forms to the largest and most complex, from the study of all aspects of an individual plant, to the complex interactions of all the different members of a complicated botanical community of plants, with the ir environment and with animals. The dictionary is an attempt to provide the readers with an access to all the important terms that form a part and parcel of botany, at one location. The repertoire acts as a referral as well as a guide for the readers and therefore succeeds in its attempt to cater to a majority of people, be it those who are new to the discipline, as well as those who already are a part of it. The dictionary tries to explain the difficult and confusing jargon of the subject in easy and simple terms, through the use of simple language and pictures and examples to foster learning and comprehension.
