Dr. Ghanshyam N. Singh (b. 1939) is currently University Professor of Economics, Magadh University, Bodh-gaya. A widely travelled andk well acclaimed seminarist, Dr. Ghanshyam having held such distinguished positions as Chairman, Sub-Committee on Highly Skilled Workerss (1982-1990); Member, the Ministry of Labour, Government of India and many such national level bodies. He has a consistent record of continuing as a Member, National Minimum Wages Board of the Government of India since member in the re-Government of India since March 11, 1981 and has been retained as its member in the re-constituted N.M.W., Board since September 12, 1990. he is also the Executive Director of the National Institute for Research on Unorganised Sector (NIRUS), Bombay since 1988. Dr. Ghanshyam is aj prolific writer and has four books to his credit. He has, so far, published and presented nearly six dozen research papers in national and international and journals.
