ABOUT THE AUTHOR Raj Pal Singh

Dr. Rajpal Singh (b. 1953) is M.A. (History and English) and Ph.D. (History). He writes with a perspective and his works are recognized for historic and yet scientific objectivity. He has a long experience of teaching and research and has been studying Sikh History for the last ten years. He has also written a monograph Banda Bahadur and His Times (1998), which has been widely acclaimed as a significant contribution to Sikh History. In addition, Dr. Singh has authored 11 books including The Rise of the Jat Power (1988), Devi Lal: The Man of the Masses (1989), The Green Revolution (1990), Perspectives on Education (1991) and Tilak Raj Chandha, His Life and Vision (1999). Dr. Singh has participated in a number of academic seminars and conferences and has more than three dozen research papers to his credit. His forthcoming books are Socio-Economic History of Medieval India, and Bhai Kanhiya and His Legacy. At present Dr. Singh is working as Senior Lecturer in History at Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar (Haryana).
