Rafiq Zakaria is one of India's leading Muslim leaders and an internationally known scholar on Indian Politics and Islam. He has been closely associated with India's freedom struggle and has spent over 25 years in public service as a Cabinet Minister and then as deputy leader of the ruling Congress party in Indian Parliament.
