ABOUT THE AUTHOR Shriprakash Singh

Dr. Shriprakash Singh is a Reader of Political Science at Sri Aurobindo College, University of Delhi where he has been teaching since 1992. After doing his schooling from Sultanpur (UP), he obtained M.Phil and Ph.D. on 'Political Philosophy of Deen Dayal Upadhyay' and 'Political Philosophy of C. Rajagopalachari: with special reference to his concept of emocracy' respectively from University of Delhi. He has been UGC fellow, a recipient of Minor and Maor Research project grants from UGC. Currently, Dr. Singh is working on 'Lal bahadur Shastri: Vyaktitva, Krititva Evam Vichar'. Besides several articles in Encyclopedia of Hinduism, he has co-edited 'Energy Challenges of 21st Century: Bio-Fuel a Solution'. His areas of specialisation are Indian Political Thought, Political Theory and Environmental Studies.
