This book entitled, "Commercial Banks in India" seeks to analyse growth and progress of commercial banks in India during post nationalization period. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Saveeta Saggar

Dr. Saveeta Saggar graduated from Punjab School of Economics, Guru Nanak Dev University and is a gold medallist in B.Sc. (Hons. School) in Economics. She passed out of the University after completing her M.Sc. (Hons. School) in Economics in 1995. She did a small stint of undergraduate teaching in S.L. Bawa, D.A.V. College after which she joined G.N.D.U. as a research fellow and in 2001, completed her Ph.D. on banking. During her Ph.D., she also taught to the undergraduate students of University. After her Ph.D. she joined D.A.V. College, Amritsar as lecturer in Economics. She also has research papers published in national and international journals to her credit. Presently, she is lecturer in Economics in the School of Social Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
