ABOUT THE AUTHOR Priti Mathur
Priti Mathur: Born on Feb. 2, 1948. Did her graduation and post-graduation from Allahabad University securing 2nd position in order of merit. She has also qualified in German Language diploma in Ist position from the same university. She has done her Ph.D. from Rajasthan University on “New Steel Town of India – A Study of Their Location, Morphology and Economy.†Mrs. Mathur joined Rajasthan University in 1977, and is presently Associate Professor in Geography Department. She has already supervised 20 candidates for Ph.D. and 12 candidates are currently working under her supervision. Her many papers have been published in national, regional Annals and Journals. She has also contributed chapters in various edited book like Sum Kaleen Bharat, Natural and Human Resources of Rajasthan Environment Conservation depicting Resources and Sustainable Development Geography of Rajasthan etc. She is also a life member of several Geographical Associations of national and regional repute. She ha contributed research papers in national and regional conferences. Mrs. Mathur had been elected as Vice-President of NAGI for one full-term. Presently, she is also working as Principal Investigator in NOCER major project sponsored by U.G.C., New Delhi.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sarina Kalia
Sarina Kalia: Born on 4th July, 1968. Did her graduation from Sophia College, Ajmer in 1989, Post Graduation in 1991 and Ph.D. in 1995 from Rajasthan University. She has keen interest in resource and industrial geography. She joined the University of Rajasthan in 1997 as Assistant Professor and has 8 year teaching experience of UG and PG. She has recently become Research Supervisor. She is a lif member of CHEC-India, NAGI and RGA. She has attended conferences and presented papers in various fields in geography. Four of her papers have been published, presently working as Co-investigator in NOCER project sponsored by U.G.C., New Delhi.
