Pancatantra: Recent Researches in Indian Archaeology (In 2 Volumes)

C.T.M. Kotraiah has worked both as an archaeologist and museum director with the Archaeological Surey of India in Karnataka. He has now retired to Mysore. Among his many publications on the Vijayanagara period is the acclaimed Irrigation Systems Under Vijayanagara Empire (Directorate of Vijayanagara Empire (Directorate of Archaeology & Museums, Mysore, 1995). He maintains an interest in Kannada literature of the Vijayanagara era.

Dr. S.Y. Somashekhar (b. 1970) presently working as Lecturer in the Dept. of ancient History and Archaeology and Assistant Director of Distance Education in the Kannada University, Hampi, took his M.A. (1993) from Mysore University, M.Phil., (1995) and Ph.D.) (2000) from Kannada University, Hampi. He obtained Ph.D., degree on "Military system and war policies during Vijayanagar Period". He has published works on Hampi Bazars (1997), Karnataka Devalaya Kosha: Bellary and Koppal District (1999, 2001), Jatangi Rameshwara: A cultural study (2004). He has edited Kuvempu's literary works (2004) and also published more than 35 research articles in various journals.
