Although foreign winds blow strongly over Proxy, the latest offering from Amrita Gangulay’s treasure trove of worlds, Ms. Ganguly, in this collection of poetry culling the best of her past work as well some more of her newer writing, touches upon dimensions and parameters of life, issues and emotions that are experienced by people the world over, whether they’re red, black, white or brown. After all, we all live by proxy: we are each other’s proxy. When asked about her intent in writing Proxy, Ms. Ganguly stated that for her, writing has always been a way of unleashing emotions and perspective in a creative form. Books are meant to be shared with all and one alike, and through her books, Ms. Ganguly hopes to be a voice-piece for those who are unable to express or create in tangible form emotions and ideas which are omnipresent but not stated.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Amrita Ganguly

Amrita Ganguly was born in Nigeria, Africa, in 1970. I feel words are an art form and logically, scribbling, a passion. As a person of words (and hopefully of some wit and wisdom too!). I am one of the lucky few who have managed to profession, and, for a living, I write both locally as well as for establishments abroad. In offering you Proxy, a collection of what I feel is my finest work till date which also marks a decade of writing, I try to take the reader to a Destination Unbound, with foreign influences tiding over the work, asking for only a smile in return.
