HIV/AIDS is not anything new to our young people. Over two decades of initiatives by world communities to contain the spread of the virus have not yielded encouraging results. The Indian Community has a rich value system. Any intervention to contain the spread of lifestyle diseases should be culture specific, academically sound and socially acceptable. The book highlights the role of teachers and ToTs in imparting life skill education based on value system for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS. Apart from evolving a viable plan of action, the author has also developed a curriculum that can be adapted by the education system in the country.
