ABOUT THE AUTHOR Manel Ratnatunga

Manel Ratnatunga's short stories, essays and plays have been ublished and broadcast on BBC World Service, the local Sunday Observer, Indonesia Times, Asia Magazine and Radion Ceylon. Her novel Saga Indonesia won State Literary Award. Her other publications are-Syria-What is she?, Folktales of Indonesia, Ranweli Bay Mystery and Step by Step Sri Lankan Cookery. She has travelled widely and now lives in Colombo with her sons.
