Twenty-four-year-old Partha, hapless resident of New Delhi and helpless prisoner of his own bewildering anxieties, can’t figure out which way to go, how to find the signposts. The Long Reverie evocatively explores the recesses of a young man’s mind – his baffled angst while trying to find some meaning of his existence, his scathing rejection of society’s hypocrisies, his moment of surrender to the void – and the moment when he steps back from the void to give himself a reprieve.
