The present volume comprising a result of meticulous study and research of over fifty years, it contains all the known inscriptions of North-West India belonging to the period covered in it. Some of the inscriptions have been edited for the first time where as the readings in several other have been corrected by studing the epigraphs in situ and/or consulting photographs and estampages.
