Food and Consumer Affairs

Ministry of Food and Consumer Affairs has three departments, viz. Food and Civil Supplies, Sugar and Edible Oils and Consumer Affairs. Annual Reports are brought out separately by each department about its progress. In the present book all functions, administration and regulation of the Ministry are depicted. Highlights; Food Processing industries; Organisational setup; Food management; Price management and regulation; Harvesting season; Promotional support; Consumer cooperatives; and regulation of weights and measures are given elaborate treatment.
