The book is meant to lift astrologers of a beginner or intermediate level up to an advanced level. To work on the core roots of the subject, the first chapters deals with the 'Panca-anga', or the five limbs of the Vedic calendar. This particular area of jyotish is often overlooked due to lack of knowledge in application on part of the astrologer, and also the idea that it is merely a calender system, and hence overlooked completely by astrologers following the Western Astrology System.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Visti Larsen
Visti Larsen's journey of the occult began with Western Astrology in 1998, and moved on to jyotisa or Vedic Astrology in the year 2000. He joined Sri Jagannath Centre in 2001 to learn astrology as taught in the lineage of Sri Achyuta Dasa of Puri, Orissa and at his guru's request became a jyotish guru and began teaching in 2002. Since then, he has spent most of his time traveling with hsi guru, Sanjay Rath, to conferences in the USA, UK and India. He has been Presentation for his paper "Timing Career Events" at SJC's 4th Annual Conference in Mumbai, 2005. He is an active member on various e-lists and is a teacher with SJCERC, SC's graduate and post-graduate programme. Visti is also deeply interested in spirituality and occult practices. Jyotish Fundamentals-my master's words is Visti's first book.
